WD launches My Passport compatible AV Direct Copy

After the arrival of its first external hard drive compatible with USB 3.0, the My Book 3, Western Digital back on the front of the stage with the My Passport AV. This new compact solution designed primarily for storage and playback of video files.

Western Digital unveils a new family of external hard drives portable audio-video, My Passport AV. Available in 320 GB for now, the My Passport Av comes with dimensions of 126mm x 80mm x 16mm and weighs 180 grams. Ensures its connection to the computer by a USB 2.0 connection.

 

It is primarily intended for storage of video files through the management of the Direct Copy. To recall, it simplifies the data transfer between compatible devices. The My Passport AV allows to empty the unit and its contents archive directly without using a computer.

At the same time it offers the ability to play its video files using the latest Blu-Ray compatible media players or trademark. Simply plug the USB cord.

Formatted in FAT32 is compatible with Windows XP, Vista etWindows 7 or Mac OS X Tiger, Leopard, and Snow Leopard from Apple, it comes with a support, a USB cable length, a Sony camcorder adapter and a quick installation guide. His warranty is 2 years and costs € 109.90 including VAT.
